Because of the sensitive areas that Hidden Harvest International works, prayer is of vital importance.

Humanly speaking, it may seem impossible to reach people in a high risk area due to very tight government control and the legal or physical dangers involved. However prayer can open doors that no one else can open. (Revelation 3:8)

Knowingly facing consistent obstacles that come with taking ground in sensitive areas. These 9 prayer items are ongoing crucial points to pray every month for the work of Hidden Harvest International to advance in the darkest corners of the world.

2 Thessalonians 3:1 (NLT), “Finally dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you.”

PRAYER POINTS

  • Divine protection and safety

    • Pray for physical safety for all team members, especially when they are working together in difficult locations.
    • Ask for God to shield the translators, local partners, and anyone assisting in the project from scrutiny or harassment.

  • Spiritual strength and perseverance

    • Pray for the translators and support teams to be spiritually strong and resilient, resisting discouragement, spiritual attacks, and burnout.
    • Ask the Lord to fill them with patience and determination to endure any obstacle or setback that may arise.

  • Accuracy in translation

    • Pray for clarity and wisdom for the translation team to accurately convey the meaning of the original text in a culturally, relevant way.
    • Ask for God‘s guidance and choosing the right vocabulary, and expressions that will resonate with the hearts of the people

  • Protection of technology and resources

    • Pray for the security of electronic devices, translation software, and sensitive data to remain safe from hacking.
    • Ask for God’s protection over any physical copies, manuscripts copy, or documents involved in the process.

  • Guidance and creativity

    • Ask the Lord to reveal effective storytelling methods that will make the Scriptures more impactful to the target language.
    • Pray for the Holy Spirit guidance in overcoming any challenges with complex concepts.

  • Wisdom and discernment

    • Pray for the ability to navigate sensitive situations, and the wisdom to know when to speak, act, or remain silent.
    • Ask God for discernment and recognizing trustworthy people and determining where and how to share the gospel.

  • Boldness and Courage

    • Pray for courage to share the message of Jesus in environments that may seem unwelcoming.
    • Pray for the spirit of boldness in spite of the risk, without compromising.

    • Ask for sensitivity in adapting the gospel message in ways that resonate with local culture while maintaining biblical truth.
    • Pray for local believers who are involved in the project, asking for God‘s provision and safety over their children and families.

  • Multiplication in each People Group

    • Pray for spiritual awakening within each people group that the hearts of all the people to be soften towards the Lord.
    • Ask for a spiritual hunger and a desire to know the truth even in the face of cultural opposition from others.
