Why Bible Translation Is vitally Important

Bible translation is vitally important because God is passionate about revealing himself to the world, and the Bible is how he has chosen to show himself to all mankind.

However, out of the 7000+ languages in the world, there are still over 3000+ languages that have little to no access to scripture in their native language, leaving them without the chance to fully understand and connect with the truth of the gospel message and God's wonderful plan of salvation for every living person.

The Power of Heart Language

Bible translation helps ensure that everyone, regardless of language or culture, can experience God's word personally and meaningfully in their heart language, which they can fully understand best.

By praying and giving to Bible translation efforts, Christians can participate in spreading the gospel and fulfilling the Great Commission that is assigned to all believers. Matthew 28:16, "Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations..."

Furthermore, when believers get involved with Bible translation, they demonstrate a commitment to unity and inclusiveness within the global church, showing that every individual's spiritual journey matters to them because it matters to the heart of God.

An Eternal Impact

Translation is a tangible way to share God's love beyond our lifetime because once the Bible is birthed, you can never kill it, as it will outlive all of us. Matthew 24:35 says, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away."

We all have a responsibility to provide God's Word to those who have never encountered it before and are still waiting to hear, especially those that are trapped in restricted regions that are totally hostile to the gospel.

OUR IMPACT

Breaking Barriers

Overcoming Hostile Locations So the Word of God Can Be Accessible to All

When you are committed to bringing the gospel to the unreached, you take on the mission of ensuring no one is left behind. This truth is powerfully explained by Jesus himself in Matthew 18:12, where a man leaves the 99 sheep to search for the one that is lost.

Jesus is resolute in not abandoning anyone, determined to claim what He paid for with the sacrifice of His own life—to offer everyone the opportunity to partake in His plan of salvation.

Jesus did His part, and He has commissioned us to boldly go and do our part.

BIBLE FOR EVERYONE

The Need for Bible Translation

There are 7,000+ languages spoken around the world. More than 3,000 languages have little to no Scripture at all. That is unacceptable!

OUR IMPACT

The Urgency of the Mission

72% of American Christians think the Bible is already translated into every language in the world.

If you had the cure for cancer, wouldn’t you provide it for everyone? The Word of God is the cure for something greater than cancer—it is the cure for eternal separation from God. You and I have a responsibility to provide it for everyone.

When the Bible is translated into a language, it is as if Jesus Himself has forever stepped into that people group. Jesus is no longer a foreigner because He speaks their heart language.

“After these things I looked, and this is what I saw: a vast multitude which no one could count, gathered from every nation and from all the tribes and peoples and languages of the earth, standing before the throne…”   – Revelation 7:9 (AMP)
